Outdoor Patio and Deck Tiles
StayLock Perforated outdoor tiles offer exterior surface options for wet areas such as patios, spas, pool surrounds, greenhouses and decks. They are easily installed, easy to maintain, and are exterior 5-year UV-rated.
Greatmats outdoor tiles feature a non-slip perforated top surface that provides great water drainage on any flat surface. The PVC outdoor wet area tiles have a slightly raised base too, which allows airflow to dry the water more quickly. This results in a lower chance of mold or mildew forming in the area. The PVC feels soft and has just a bit of give to it, featuring an ASTM fall height rating of 20 inches.
They are 1 x1 feet, and made in the USA of durable plastic material, providing foot traction and comfort to bare feet on exterior surfaces. These PVC outdoor tiles are durable enough to hold tables, lawn furniture, and lawn chairs with feet larger than about 1.5 inches in diameter.
Pool and Spa Applications
When you’re looking for outdoor flooring installation options, the StayLock tile offers the durability you need. These PVC deck tiles have a 7-year UV stable colorant and anti-fungal additive, ensuring that these tiles work especially well for outdoor installations where they need to stand up to tough weather and varying temperatures. Additionally, the tiles have a 5-year manufacturer warranty with them.
And even when the surface of the tiles is wet, it remains slip-resistant, unlike cement. The tiles yield a safer area for your children to walk or run around the pool.
Should you have French drains around your pool, or areas where the cement surface slopes slightly to allow for drainage, you can install the StayLock Perforated tiles directly over these areas, and their shape will slowly conform to the slopes. This product also works great for areas around hot tubs and spas, because the tiles are non-absorbent.
Patio and Deck
If you have a deck that looks worn out from splinters and old wood, the StayLock Perforated tiles can give the deck a fresh and new look that’s safe to use. Simply installing the new tiles directly over the old wood will provide a fast means of fixing the problem of a worn out deck with far less effort and cost versus sanding and staining.
Campsite and Other Outdoor Areas
Another potential application use is for camping areas. You can take a few dozen of these tiles with you to a campsite and create a makeshift patio right outside your camper door. Using these tiles in this manner means people will track less dirt and grass into the camper, as the tile surface will provide a place to clean your feet. Should it rain while you’re camping, the makeshift tile patio is perfect for keeping mud out of the camper and giving people a dry place to stand or sit. The perforated design of the tiles allows rainwater to drain through the tiles, keeping the top free from mud.
You could install the PVC deck tiles anywhere outdoors that you want to provide traction over a wet area. Some people have reported success installing these tiles around a children’s swing set or around other areas where children play. The plastic tiles yield a softer landing if a child falls, and because the tiles can be installed over dirt or grass, they can prevent running children from slipping on wet grass or in mud. When installing the tiles over sand or dirt, we recommend placing a landscape fabric mesh material over the ground before placing the PVC decking tiles.
StayLock perforated non-slip floor tile is easy to install with our tab locking system, which ensures the tiles won’t separate over time and provides a long lasting wet area floor. A sub-floor is not needed. A hard, flat surface is recommended for installation, but the tiles will conform over time to match the contours of a slightly uneven surface.
If installing these tiles against a wall or another large object, we recommend leaving a 1/2-inch gap between the PVC deck tiles and the object to allow for expansion of the tiles in the heat. Expansion of tiles, whether they’re rubber or plastic, is normal when the tiles are installed outdoors and exposed to widely varying temperatures. Heavy furniture, table and chairs are not recommended to be permanently placed on top of these tiles. The tiles need to be able to shift as they expand and contract in changing temperatures.
Should you need to fit the PVC deck tiles around poles, doorways, or other obstacles, you can cut them with a utility knife and a straight edge.
Due to the method of interlocking these PVC decking tiles, you can easily separate, remove, or relocate them, if needed. By not using adhesives when assembling these tiles, disassembling them doesn’t take a lot of effort.
